THE CELLAR
History
Year 1877
The grandfather Giovanbattista was born, who took over the Rizzi farm on the sunny hills of the Valdadige, in Trentino, at the beginning of the twentieth century, transforming traditional mixed crops into charming vineyards.
Year 1945
The sons Remo, Renzo and Rino acquire the company together with the great wealth of experience and knowledge in the wine and wine field. In the first post-war period they rebuilt the Maso Bianco winery, immersed in the vineyards of the company, after the destruction occurred in the war.
1960
The desire to undertake pushes Remo to buy a fund immediately screwed and named Ca ‘dei Dossi in Bovolone, in the nearby province of Verona, the current headquarters of the winemaking cellar and logistics center.
Today
Luigino and Claudio, Remo’s sons, are the present conductors of the F.lli Rizzi farm which operates under the “Seiterre” brand. The continuous research, the desire to obtain ever higher quality wines and the results obtained have pushed the Rizzi brothers towards new and ambitious challenges, which have thus materialized with the acquisition and planting of new estates in some of the most important regions for the production of quality wines. Seiterre can now count on about 350 hectares of property, planted with vines in the best areas: from Piedmont in the Montebello estate to Friuli with Podere del Gal, from Trentino with Maso Bianco to Tuscany with Podere Sassoscritto and Poggio Le Capannelle including the prestigious lands of Valpolicella in the vineyards of Ca ‘del Lupo up to the sunny hills at the foot of Lake Garda with Tenuta Fantona and Tenuta San Leone. Finally there is Ca ‘Dei Dossi, the largest estate, as well as registered office, which you can find in the Veronese area.
